in that case, I will manage all my pdf bibliografy on Sente in a Mac and then transfer to Endnote in a PC, as Endnote does not retrieve information from pdf. In that page you recomended, says its possible to export a sente library to an Endnote one, manually.
thank you

Thanks for the citeulike.org reference--that is really cool. I have collected hundreds of pdfs and have been looking for ways to organize/search them.
Also, I will put in my two cents for reference manager which I have used for inserting references in all of my manuscripts without complaint so far.

I'm personally a big fan of citeulike.org, a free online service which can be used to organize PDFs. I tend to use several different computers, so it's quite nice to be able to access my entire library from any of them. The only downside is that it requires internet access, so it can be tricky to work on the road.

Adding references to endnote is a 2step procedure, first you have to get the reference into endnote, next you have to download the pdf and place in the reference. In sente and papers just put the pdf in it and the reference mostly follow. Curious for your experiences with the software, regards Dr Shock

I am going to try some of the software you mentioned. For my project on a history of neurostimulation I use Endnote on Windows to collect references and add pdf's to these references. I think this is pretty useful, since I do not have to rename the pdf's to find them.

I also use refworks to share my references, but unfortunately it is not possible to attach pdf easily. But you can store your pdf on google docs and enter the url in refworks.

What I do not understand is why Google does not create or buy software to manage references.
