Hire the hackers!
Certainly the Dutch Government could do with some advice from hackers, better yet employ them and let them test your network security.
Despite multibillion-dollar investments in cybersecurity, one of its root problems has been largely ignored: who are the people who write malicious code? Underworld investigator Misha Glenny profiles several convicted coders from around the world and reaches a startling conclusion.

Who likes to play online games?
Some research has been done on factors influencing a persons likelihood to play online games. All these motivations found in research doesn't say much about the sources of these motivations. This study looks at how personality traits motivate online game play. This study was done in Korea. In Korea, watching television, going to the cinema, and online gaming are the three major leisure activities.
An important finding was that personality traits do not seem to predict online gaming behavior in terms of overall online playing time and years of online gaming. Personality traits are only relevant to the reason why people .....read more »

Cannabis use in young people: The risk for schizophrenia
Now, addiction is not Dr Shock's specialty but I have attended a lecture on this subject a few years ago by one of the authors Robin M. Murray and was very impressed by the subtlety of his research and reasoning. The size of the problem:
The global number of people in the world who used cannabis at least once in 2007 was between 143 and 190 million persons
Highest use in North America, Western Europe, West and Central Africa and Oceania
the concentration of psychoactive .....read more »

Delusions of Gender: Sexism in Neuroscience
Sloppy science has led to incorrect conclusions about the difference between male and female brains. She shows how data on visual spatial activity are wrongly interpreted, the same for math differences in men and women.
