Arshile Gorky: The Shape Shifter
Excellent video on this unknown artist Arshile Gorky, at least to me. He certainly did some impressive work. This video is also a short history of Turkish and Armenian struggle. He was inspired by Picasso in the beginning of his work. He appeared to be a source of inspiration to Willem de Kooning, an abstract expressionist artist, born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Some of his wall paitings in New York Airport were recovered after they had been paitend over during the second world war. Unfortunately he killed himself in 1948 at the age of 46.

I have some gorkys , 2 are when gorky needed money so he copied many artists Klee and miro are what I have, and he sold them. The legality at that time was probably light for him to do that. And the other is on canvas . If you want to learn about Pollocks hate towards gorky read the picture where urine stains are on the back. This is a whatever message, the gorky family will not display his copies even though there’s a large NYTs article confiring this. At the moment , I have suspicion on how the business of Arshile gorky is editing. There seem not to be a one person who came calmly verify the definition of the art of arshile gorky, but the family info is very good.
