Forest plots: trying to see the wood and the trees
I am writing a systematic review about antidepressants. For this I need a “forest plot”. Found a nice and comprehensive article in the BMJ.
In short this what a “forest plot” is:
Forest plots show the information from the individual studies that went into the meta-analysis at a glance
They show the amount of variation between the studies and an estimate of the overall result.

Dear Dr Shock
Yes me too! I am using a meta-analytic approach to setting an audit standard for an intensive treatment programme for obsessive-compulsive disorder. I can make a high-low stock graph in MS-Excel but it is vertical when it really needs to be horizontal my e-mail is: james.tighe1@btopenworld.com
